A powerful quote isn’t it? Imagine a radically different educational system. A system that does not confine children in poorly ventilated classrooms for 4 to 8 hours a day. A system void of skeptical false science. A system that focuses on the greatest Teacher of all time, Jesus Christ. A system that prepares your children for heaven. In the beginning, God designed an educational system for His children, Adam and Eve. He placed them in a beautiful garden, surrounded by the book of nature. Their physical education was not found in useless and selfish amusements, but in practical and productive gardening. “The system of education instituted at the beginning of the world was to be a model for man throughout all aftertime. As an illustration of its principles a model school was established in Eden, the home of our first parents. The Garden of Eden was the schoolroom, nature was the lesson book, the Creator Himself was the instructor, and the parents of the human family were the students.” (Education p. 20)

Amazing Adventures – “A Journey For Life With Jesus” is a great video resource to share with your children. My daughter who just turned four loved watching the series. The presenter does a great job of mixing scripture with attention grabbing illustrations designed for children in order to both keep the young children’ s attention and also reinforce Biblical points at the same time. There are countless parenting book in the world today. Yet, if there could be only two books besides the Bible that I could recommend to parents, it would be the books Education and Child Guidance by Ellen White. You can read the entire book Education here for free. These Biblical based books will open your eyes and show you countless insights into true Christian parenting. Don’t take my word for it, read just a few chapters yourself and you will be hooked. Some may never have heard of the author Ellen White for she lived about a hundred years ago, but she is the most published female Christian author of all time and her books have changed the lives of countless individuals.
