What should a Christian wear?

The Bible says in 1 Thessalonians 5:18 “ in everything give thanks; for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus for you.”  Shortly after the Thanksgiving holiday, I was trying to think about how I could be more thankful to God.  As I was thinking I was recalling how God has changed me.  I thought about how I haven’t done that sin in a long time, or how I… Read More »What should a Christian wear?

We’ve reached the 100 sermon mark

Greetings brothers and sisters in Christ. We are thankful to the Lord that we now have a combined total of 100 free audio & video sermons on our site featuring evangelists such as Randy Skeete, Stephen Bohr, Doug Batchelor, Ted Wilson and many more. The Bible says “I have no greater joy than to hear that my children walk in truth.” (3 John 4) and these sermons will definitely help you walk closer and closer to the lovely Jesus. We hope to continue to add more sermons in the year ahead as well as increase the number of written articles as well. Our prayer is “that you may prosper in all things and be in health, just as your soul prospers.” (3 John 2) May the Lord continue to strengthen you in 2013 by His grace.

Understanding 1 Peter 3:18-20: Did Jesus preach to spirits in hades or hell?

One of the most misunderstood verses in the Bible is found in 1 Peter 3:18-20 which says “For Christ also suffered once for sins, the just for the unjust, that He might bring us to God, being put to death in the flesh but made alive by the Spirit, by whom also He went and preached to the spirits in prison, who formerly were disobedient, when once the Divine longsuffering waited in the days of Noah, while the ark was being prepared, in which a few, that is, eight souls, were saved through water.”

What does this verse mean?  Did Jesus preach to spirits in hades or hell?  Or did He preach to fallen angels?  Or does this verse mean something completely different?  Read More »Understanding 1 Peter 3:18-20: Did Jesus preach to spirits in hades or hell?

The Glory Of Heaven

While in prayer I dwelt on the goodness of heaven and it was most glorious.  It is a land of perfect purity.  Satan and his demons shall never enter there.  Never again will an impure suggestion be whispered in our ears by that wicked host.  Never again will an evil thought need to be banished from our minds.  Never again will the pull of sin need to be resisted.  Never again will we need to flee to the throne of grace in prayer, to gain strength to resist the evil one.  We shall see the throne of grace, and Him who was pierced for us, face to face.

Three Great Children’s Resources For Christian Parents

“For the first eight or ten years of a child’s life the field or garden is the best schoolroom, the mother the best teacher, nature the best lesson book. Even when the child is old enough to attend school, his health should be regarded as of greater importance than a knowledge of books. He should be surrounded with the conditions most favorable to both physical and mental growth.” – Education p. 208, Ellen White
